Notes: SBBCH’s annual Celebration Park ride open to the public. We broke up into groups. I took my peeps on a longer ride. We had a great time despite the cold. The snow storm held off until the last 20 miles of the haul home. Pretty tired of this winter.
Trail: Celebration Park – Halverson Lake -Sandy Loop
Riders: Self, Janine T. , Linda E. and Mildred B.
Horses: Jack, J’Lo, Kiger, Ranger and Rocky
Dogs: Shade and Hank
Notes: First real ride of the year. It’s been an unusually brutal winter. Finding a place to haul to and ride has been a challenge. Celebration Park to the rescue. No snow and the trails were dry and sandy. The day started out a little breezy and cold – ended up sunny and mid 40’s. The horses were a bit frisky. I felt fortunate to make it to the halfway point to switch horses before Jack bucked me off. That horse needs some hard riding and wet blankets.
